Day SeventyEight: A day of work a day of pain... pretty much par for the course. Still managed the basics today... eggs and toast for breakfast, thinking back I ate a shit load of cereal growing up... boxes here get opened and then sit on the shelf until they expire. Today we worked on learning some more PhotoShop. He's doing pretty good at manipulating pictures he finds on the net to fit his needs, I little from this picture, a little from that... and he's not afraid to draw in what he can't find else where. Today we worked a little on layer styles, they add a lot to the text... oh and other text features like bending the words to a curve or stretching it into other shapes... the end project tomorrow will be printed off and folded up into a Birthday Card for Heather. Apparently she's getting old... 32 I think if my memory serves me correctly. SideKick came by and I secured the nut on the axle... pretty she the depth of the bearing is slightly off, the sensor isn't picking up info for the ABS and other systems... I'll poke at that later... might just have to ream out the hole it sits in so it points in the right direction... it got bent a little bit when beating on it with the press. LOL Sammiches for lunch... a little pedestrian to most but we don't have them a lot, it's kind of a treat... unless you are Lawson... he pretty much hates them, they are so restricted at school as to what they can bring in that he only gets shitty sandwiches, a lot of shitty sandwiches. Choices are cheese or fake peanut butter made from soy or something like that... everything else he can't have or doesn't like. When Heather got home she had designs on some type of chicken stir-fry, I cut up stuff, she cooks it... by 9pm I was hungry again... just like real Chinese food. Lawson managed to get some of his Long House done today, pretty sure it is due for next class... make out of grass, pine-cones and aluminium cans, all ingredients we have in abundance. might have to make the ends of the house out of wood... I'll change the blade on the band saw tomorrow and see what he can manage to do with that... been a while since he used it. After Lawson went to bed, Heather made the last bun into garlic bread with cheese... only problem was we both had half the bun and agreed that what it tasted like was more... damn now I'm hungry. Going foraging. GN
