Paint n Paper

Home Improvements
Watch it transform from hell hole to hovel.  It's amazing what a little paint n paper will do... ok and some tiles.

Day 100

Posted 6/19/2020

Day 100: Got up at 6am again... lord knows why... maybe to plan the big centennial celebration... what's that? It's only been 100 days not 100 years... well what do you call a 100 day span... Fortnight is a few weeks... A few fortnight and a bit is a month... 3 months is a Season... 100 days has to be something. Today was uneventful, Lawson and I played some games together, he ate some of his favorite foods, Heather got home late after showing some of the management around the new and improved core shack... scavenged some meats and cheeses from the fridge to make a little platter for dinner and started to watch SpaceForce on Netflix (must be Canadian made LOL) So rather than beat on the details of the day I thought about looking back on the last 100 days. OK WTF... pretty sure someone flushed the play book down the shitter on day 3. You really have to wonder if there was anything more we could have done... like maybe not gone out of our way to prove how it only takes a small portion of the country to act like compete selfish fucking ass wads to send everything into chaos... like WTF was with the toilet paper issue... I sincerely hope that all those people, who are now stuck with a garage full of ass wipe, find themselves unemployed, broke, losing everything they own, just because when push came to shove, all they did was try to screw everyone around them. Now I did say a small portion... on the other side of the coin there are those of us who cut back, donated items to the less fortunate, helped others do things they couldn't do for themselves... but none of us will be remembered... they are only going to remember the hoarders and the TP crisis. What else do we have... oh yes, the children and school closures... I gotta say, there are a lot of people pulling there hair out by the roots because the children 'They Raised' aren't the nicest people to be around. To them I can only say: ROTFLMAO Serves You Right... someone instilled those values in your child... and something about reaping what you sew. Maybe this will inspire some of those people to do a little something about how they are raising their children. Let's hope anyway. AND LOCK DOWN... people have a few different issues here. Biggest problem, people not getting it or caring. You've seen the photos of the public gatherings, beaches, parks, vacations, spring break... hell even some complete countries... if we all don't try just a little bit, these idiots are the ones that are going to cause the greatest damage.... then also another 'other side of the coin' group, they lose there mind any time someone looks outside there home even for the best of reasons. The Shamers, ridged, unable to understand that some of us still need to do things, go places, essential things... some of us have essential jobs or provide assistance to people in need of help, shop for essential items, food, medication... if everyone was just locked in there homes for 100 days, far more people would end up dead than COVID19 could ever kill. BUT some people don't understand that for some reason... ok, I'll let you in on a secret, the reason is they are stupid. Get off your high horse and do something useful or helpful, it can be done safely and with minimal risk, edjamacate yourselves. Me... I'm a stay at home Dad... pretty much in my job description this staying at home thing. I'm sorry if it's not for everyone, it's affected me little. Sorry. TBC

Day 100 Continued: AND NEXT Sorry brings me to my next issue... The reason I started this insane rambling... WTF happen to organized sports? BLIP!!! Gone... What kind of impact is this going to have on the kids? Is it wrong that my kid wants a hazmat suit for his birthday so he can play with his friends? I think everyone is so worried about why it can't happen, no one has stopped long enough to figure out how it can happen... or where it can happen... are we going to get held to the same standard set of rules that someplace like Toronto is? I know what ever they come up with is going to be grim and still not going to make me happy, and organizations are trying... but no one is willing to commit to anything until the leader decide to shit or get off the pot. Take soccer, divide the field in a 4 x 5 grid, 6 feet between the boxes, you say in your box, 20 kids on the field, they play the whole game... sure it's not traditional soccer but frankly you really can't make soccer more boring than soccer already was... hell mark off lines on the sides so dumb parents know how far apart they need to stand. There, social distancing soccer. These aren't professional sports... there aren't hundreds of people pushing up against each other on the side lines trying to get a better view of the action, hell if you could drop your child off and just leave only 2 out of every 100 parents would actually stay... I know, I stay and watch his soccer camp... me and 1 or 2 other parents. And geographically speaking no one here that has any chance of attending a soccer game is currently infected... I mean your chances of catching COVID19 here and now playing soccer like this would be less than getting hit in the head with a meteorite while mining for gold a mile under the earths surface. This isn't like school, we aren't stuffing 30 kids in a room all week long, I'm talking 1 hour a week, not getting any closer than 6 feet apart and then only to people in the adjacent blocks, on average 3 other kids... it's just dumb they aren't doing something. I guess that will be something to talk about on day 200 when I look back at days 100-200 and talk about WFT were they thinking when they made x or y dumb ass social distancing rule... it's already started... should be in full swing by then.
