Day 101: Weekend, Saturday, Summer, Hot... Humid... Hazy... It didn't start as early as most days. We let Lawson sleep in the basement, dark and cool... maybe there is a reason he got the nickname Potato. He's on a French Toast kick lately... not sure why... I do make good French Toast but frankly I'd rather have pancakes of waffles given the choice. Then I built some Omelettes for the big people in the family... ham, cheese, peppers... oh and Coffee... as we finished off the 1st pot, Sidekick came by... I put on another pot... could be why I'm still up at 2 am. Took care of some paper work and then had plans to return some beer bottles and retrieve some of the missing info in the paperwork from another source pile that was not currently available at the location of our meeting. Oh and he came baring gifts... a dust collector for the lathe project and a few chisels I can use until I find my own... I looked some more for them... still can't find them. We dropped off the bottles at the Hall in VG to support them in keeping things afloat since nothing is happening to generate any income at all to pay the bills... halls and baseball diamonds and soccer fields aren't much good to anyone at this point in time... but some day... hopefully they will still be there when things come around. Made it home just in time for dinner... ya, kinda worked though lunch and I'm thinking now how I could use another meal... Heather had sausages on deck. Fired onions, peppers, all was good... but what intrigued me even more was cheese cake she was working on for tomorrow (I will have to get a photo tomorrow)... it was a work of art, I have never seen one with such a flawless surface even after it cooled down, not a crack or imperfection anywhere... now I have to think of what I want as a topping for it... hmm... A Father's Day Cheese Cake... some days I'm just a lucky guy.
