Web and Media Design

Good Graphic Art Work can be used to set a theme or give feeling to stuff you digest on the internet... Here are a few pieces from resent projects.

Scrolling Banner (The Last Season of Hockey) - A banner originally designed for a website, this was a series of photos that represented the final year of hockey before COVID kicked in.  The last 3 events were never held but it tells a story of the players accomplishments and training sessions that were attended over the year.  Click on it to open the graphic in a new browser window.

T-Shirts   (The latest 2 Shirt)

Out of the 100's of shirts designed over the years, I have an affinity for the old silk screen shirts we use to produce in the 80's, One of my first jobs was providing camera ready artwork to burn the gels on the silkscreens.  Even with all the options available today I still like the simple one or two colour prints.  Combining the new processes with the old school look also makes for a sharp looking shirt.

Adult and Children's sizes available.  This is a design made for a project for my son.  He sells these shirts and with the money buys goalie gear for the Novice teams so the organization have proper gear for the kids to use... so everyone has a chance to play in net even if they do't have their own gear.  Seeing what the local organizations were giving the kids to play in was frightening, he didn't want to see kids getting hurt playing in net... Being a goalie should be fun, not scary or painful.

A Plymouth Fury built and run on the drag strips in the South.  You can follow along on their Facebook group.  Bob has recently added to his online presence with a new YouTube Channel: Bob's Classic Cars and Parts.  Check it out if you like old cars and junk yards.

A little touch of old school t-shirt with a splash of colour to make it pop at the track.

My Furyious ShirtMy Furyious ShirtI recall a recent COVID vacation I took (these may be available soon too) - Where I put on my shirt and got a shot of myself in the Living Room... then photoshopped it into a photo from the Drag Races at Pomona California... That's about all you can do with the boarder restrictions now... It's still good for posting to social media with the story about what you did while you were on your 'vacation' during COVID, hours of lockdown amusement.  The story falls apart in this case since the races were actually canceled so... Fun anyway.  Send me a message if you need a COVID "Vacation".

Graphics and Logos

I started doing advertising work in the 80's, filling programs for a local motorsports facility with ads from business in the surrounding area... along with sales came the duty of setting up the art work, usually from the nothing the small shops had to give you in the first place.

A simple designs can convey motion with moving.  This Graphic was done for a Race Team that won the North American Rally Cup championship a number of years ago.  It was specific to the Rally of the Tall Pines and was put on the hood of the car just in front of the driver.  I still find photos of the car scattered about the internet and can tell you that it's from that race when I see the green swirled event logo on the hood.

More Hockey Related, a little more complex Logo/ Graphic that we use for stickers and hockey pucks.

One of the little father son projects that my son and I work on together is promoting his YouTube Channel that has many videos of him on ice doing what he does.  If he doesn't make millions of dollars playing hockey at least he will have his lucrative YouTuber income to fall back on... always good to have that 2nd safety net just in case.  What do you tell your kid when he tells you he wants to be a YouTuber... I was taken back by the statement at first, You want to be a What?  YouTuber?  Is that a Real Job?  I looked into it... seems some of them are making more money than Bill Gates.  LOL  Yup, better odds of making it big in the NHL I'm afraid.  Until he makes it big he has a lot of nifty stickers and other branded items to give out to his friends when he asks them to subscribe to his channel and smash the like button on his videos.
