MinorCards is new to the world of Sports Card but we have our minds set on building some cool stuff that should spark the attention of collectors and players alike.   With almost 40 years of digital graphics experience, the art work is nothing new.  There seems to be a shortage of quality graphics designer specifically working on Sports Cards for Minor Players and Team.

A search of the internet will leave you scratching your head as you thumb through pages and pages of copy and paste templets and printers that will upload anything you want to send them, plop a box around it, dump a name on it and print you off a scad of cards that are never going to be confused with actually Collectors Cards.  Over the last 50 years collectors cards have come a long way, sure you can still get them printed and packaged with a stick of gum, but the days of a line around a photo with a name printed on the front are long gone.

I started making cards for my son, he plays minor hockey and soccer, he loves the sports, he collects the professional's cards, he sits and plots about the pros and cons of playing with different NHL teams, are his favorite players still going to be there when he signs up for the team?  Is mommy going to be able to get a job if we have to move to Calgary when he plays there? LOL  I started adding his cards into his collections as special cards when he was only 5 years old.  He enjoys finding them mixed in with the cards, he likes to read them and remember where he played, the positions, the tournaments, the stats... All good fun, I had them all lined up for this project and he made me sit down and read through them all with him, pressing my for more details after going over each card.  A few years back I made some cards for his entire team.  A nice way to keep track of the friends he's played with over the years.  Do you need professional looking cards for your kids?  We enjoy them... He might not make the NHL, but there's no reason at this point that he needs to know the odds, right now... he's just like them... plays hard... has fun... and has a hockey card just like the Pros.  It is kinda cool.

I would like to bring this to others, it's not expensive, yet has great value now and in the future.  My wife still has a Sports Card of her brother from 30+ years ago.  Sure, there is no back, no story, things that would add extra value to it, but My son sees it over on the shelf and asks who it is, wonders about where he played for and what position, he's interested in the sport, he's intrigued that other in his family share the love of the sports he enjoys so much.

Why did I start making card?  Because I can, and they are cool.  If you are interested in my past digital work for publishers, t-shirt printing companies, art contests won, product labeling, corporate logos and other promotional material... please check out the Gallery Tab.
