Paint n Paper

Home Improvements
Watch it transform from hell hole to hovel.  It's amazing what a little paint n paper will do... ok and some tiles.

Day 161

Posted 8/19/2020
nDay 161: Thinking about buying stocks in one of the service stations in the area... maybe get a discount on fuel... Once again please open your google maps tab to follow along. 6am the wife wakes my up to question me moving the hockey gear into the Mazda because she was going to do that before she went to work but now didn't have to... yes, it was because I didn't want to be woke up at 6am for the 3rd day in a row regarding car problems. After about half an hour I got back to sleep... 20 minute later my alarm went off. I think I told Hey google to go hey fuck it's self. I tried to get up but failed. The phone rang... 'Hey are you coming to pick me up?' - It was Sidekick. Yup I fell back to sleep and wasn't answering his text messages. I still had a few minutes to make the boy food and take a quick shower before heading out the door to make our run to Timmins for another Dr. appointment... so map a line from Matheson to Val Gagne, then to Timmins... We hit the auto parts store, I ordered a caliper for the rear passengers side, the expensive one with the E-brake attached to it... it will be in tomorrow. Stop at the Dr. office for a bit and then the grocery store, I waited in the car... I will shop when I have more time, today was a little packed. We grab a coffee on the way back out of town. Back to Val Gagne, then Matheson, Lawson nukes some left over corn on the cob, drowns it in butter and salt then declared it as his lunch... I couldn't get him to eat anything else... maybe breakfast was too big for him. We load up the golf clubs in the back of the car next to the hockey gear... it looks like he is in training for a future spot on the Toronto MapleLeafs... hockey gear and golf clubs... you know what I'm getting at. The car heads to the gas station again and the out to Iroquois Falls for a little practice and a few holes on the course. The kids only play 4 holes... it takes as long as the adults 9 holes, so... LOL I wait in the parking lot, play games on the cell phone. He gets back to the car just after 3pm... another quick stop at Timmies and we point the car west... next stop Connaught. Heather calls and ask if we are picking her up... it was late and kinda out of the way to just go and sit in a parking lot, watching the outside of the doors waiting for the boy to finish... she got abandon at home for the evening. We stopped at the Twins place and Lawson and them played for about half an hour before we all headed to hockey... he managed to find a hot dog and push it in his pie hole while visiting, then off to Timmins again... We pull in the arena with a plenty of time to get all the boys into their gear (the weather was a little better today)... the doors swung out and me and the Twin's dad bailed. We walked into O'Riely's... they were surprised to see us together... trouble one and trouble two... isn't that one of the signs of the apocalypse? We harassed the staff as they have come to expect, and now have to return tomorrow to see if stuff has been finished and likely harass the staff some more. We hit Timmies on the way back to the arena parking lot... had our own little tailgate party, bitched about everything that was wrong with minor hockey and eventually the kids were released. He gets changed in the parking lot, I refill his gear bag, toss it in the back and head back to Matheson. So total that distance up with the wife's trip to Kirkland Lake today and tell me how much fuel we used today. I pulled the car in forward so Heather only needs to use reverse to put it on the road in the morning. It was just after 7pm and I logged in the NOHA AGM online just before any of the voting started... they changed the time and started an hour early so I didn't have to sit through the crap at the beginning. During the meeting I foraged in the kitchen a bit... started some hot dogs for me and Heather which she finished because I wasn't doing a very good job at it... and helped the boy with some perogies... need to get more carbs in the boy to fuel him back up for tomorrow. He finally got to bed as my meeting was wrapping up, just in the process of voting in the new executive... and then it was over. I actually have to read they to Heather so they can be approved before I post them... LOL... no honestly I think she has me read them to her so it's more easy for her to fall to sleep at night, but which ever... maybe she is just checking up on what I did all day... LOL I seriously have to get back at those videos and the secrete project in the driveway. Jobs for another day... Honestly, I'm not getting enough sleep... 6am comes too early... time for bed.
